About Integrative Neuromuscular Myofascial Technique
I-NMT places
emphasis on combining neuromuscular technique with
myofascial components, piecing together how
different body regions and their respective pain
patterns relate to each other. Emphasis will be on
the application of spine, atlanto-occipital, dural
tube, and sacral joint range of motion techniques,
thus integrating the relationship of the skeleton
and it’s fascia into an NMT approach.

Lecture: Fundamentals of I-NMT
(Offered during courses # 1-3) Integrative NMT,
integrative neuromuscular myofascial technique
places emphasis on combining neuromuscular technique
with myofascial components, piecing together how
different body regions and their respective pain
patterns relate to each other. Emphasis will be on
the application of spine, Atlanto-Occipital, and
sacral joint range of motion techniques in all
sessions, thus integrating the relationship of the
skeleton and it’s fascia into an NMT approach. Each
student will receive thorough training in
neuromuscular technique and philosophy. Rather than
focusing solely on isolated trigger-point release,
more emphasis will be placed on regional release
with compression and trigger-point release as tool
when releasing a region. Learn neurological laws
that govern neuromuscular concepts and techniques,
study macro/micro myofascial integration, connective
tissue properties of tensegrity, solation, and
pesioelectric effect. Study postural distortions and
how precise I-NMT treatments improve posture and
reduce stress on internal organs.
I-NMT #1
Paraspinals, anterior neck,
internal jaw, & posture assessment techniques
Learn precise methods of
treating the spine and its multiple muscle origins
and insertions, treating anterior cervical regions
to help correct dysfunctional structural patterns,
and internal jaw/mouth treatments to relieve HA and
TMJD pain. Learn effective techniques for treating
disorders such as whiplash, head forward posture,
upper thoracic pain, and TMJD. Learn how structural
distortions can work their way up the postural chain
and how the abnormal pull of various muscles in the
neck, shoulder and spine can affect the
temporomandibular joint (TMJ).
I-NMT #2 Shoulder,
thoracic outlet, chest wall
Learn how distortions that
deviate posture away from homeostatic posture cause
pain and inflammation in the shoulder region and, if
not addressed, often prevent the full rehabilitation
of this region. Discover why it's essential to
properly release antagonist muscles to maintain a
straight spine. You will explore how distortions in
the shoulder girdle cause momentum to be
internalized in the soft tissues in the body and the
facet joints of the thoracic and cervical regions.
You will study the complex postural distortions that
affect the thoracic outlet/brachial plexus and
lateral neck and learn effective release methods.
NMT 3 Low back, hip, and
pelvis integration, & pelvic stabilization
Learn how tilt, rotation,
torque, flexion/extension and projection affects
spinal and pelvic alignment and pressure on the
sacroiliac joint. Learn to rebalance fascial and
muscular pelvic tonus surrounding the body’s center
of gravity. You will learn to recognize how other
regions and their fascial components can cause low
back pain. Specific routines are introduced that
will effectively treat frustrating low back/hip
symptoms.
I-NMT #4
Cranial and dural tube
fascia, posterior neck, face & external jaw
Learn effective techniques to
normalize the soft-tissue components of structural
imbalances in the cranium. Analyze cranial
distortions that cause structural changes down the
entire postural chain. This course takes an in-depth
look at fascial components of the epicranius, dural
tube, and the many diaphragms that traverse the body
as well as their intimate relationship with the
pelvic floor and thoracolumbar fascia.
I-NMT #5
Consideration of the
breath, organ fascial containment, & extremities
